Best state residency

Am trading in my apartment for a motor home full time. I would like to establish residency in a gulf or up the Atlantic coast as far as Virginia. My RV is registered with MN but once I find a state with low or no tax and establish residency (so I can vote Nov 8th) and any other governmental horrors that are hoisted on full time RVers. And any tips on first time driving something a bit bigger than my VW.

    The primary full-time RV'er friendly states are Florida, South Dakota, and Texas. Each state has its own pluses and minuses, so you'll need to do some research to see which one best fits your personal and financial needs. The Full-time RVing section here would be a good place to start asking more specific questions.

    Congratulations to the OP! I can't wait to escape MN's high taxes by moving residency to SD or TX or FL when I retire!

    Florida is the place for hanging out in the winter, so along with it's other benefits, it might as well be there.

    We also have no state income tax. However if you plan to vote November 8, better establish residency in the next three days. Our governor has declined to extend the October 11 voter registration deadline despite the hurricane.

    Get an absentee ballot and vote in MN. If you register a MH in Fla that you have owned less than six months they will get you for the sales tax again if you bought it in another state.

    I thought u still paid something like $106.00 PM deducted from your SS once over 65 and if you want full no worry insurance you need to buy supplementary insurance for around 250-300 PM on top of that
    what all My American friends from various states tell me anyhow?
