Best Way To Secure Solar Panels and The Wires on The Roof

I'll be installing (3) large 300 watt solar panels on my fiberglass roof with aluminum brackets. I plan on screwing in the brackets into the fiberglass.

What product do you recommend for bonding and sealing the brackets to the roof?

What would be the best way to secure several runs of #10 wire from the panels across the roof to the drop point?

Thanks

With regards to the cables, I like to use the small plastic cable hold downs and then completely cover each hold down and section of cable it's securing with a dollop of Dicor.

I use the same trick for cables.
  • Anytime I install something where I can't or don't want to use a really stout bracket, I use 2 sided foam tape under the bracket, then screw it down and then use Dicor to cover and seal the bracket.

  • For the wires, use a dollop of Dicor Self Leveling Lap Sealant...Dennis
  • Dicor Lap Seal. My wiring has been held in place with dabs of Dicor for nearly 10 years. A couple of times I have cleaned the old and added a bit of new, but not often.
