- jplante4Explorer III saw a few of these when I was looking in CL for the Sahara. It's made to look like there was a typo in the price and they simply left off a zero. An innocent inquiry "Did you forget a zero on the price?" would tell the story. Deploying to Afghanistan next week. Wife wants it gone. Will deliver anywhere, just send him money for gas for the trip etc...
If you search around RVT or RVTrader, you'll see the pictures in this CL ad. - rockhillmanorExplorerThere's been a rash of these in RV's and Car's on CL.
They snatch a picture of a real nice vehicle and advertise it with a real low price. I don't even click on them anymore. They're all scammers. - gboppExplorer

It was probably a good deal and someone quickly snapped it up. :B - braindead0Explorer

Pretty common scam, price tends to be what they think someone would be willing to bring cash for so they can rob them. The being deployed story is a common tactic as well.

Probably flagged off by the CL readers who saw enough scam signals to kick it off the site. - TNGW1500SEExplorerIf you take cash to buy it, I'd advise you take a few buddies and firearms.
- dodge_guyExplorer IIPeople listing on CL always do that. They put in a price of $1 or as was mentioned leave off a 0! I have called a few of those and asked if I could come take a look at it and told them I have the $1 or whatever the price was cash in hand. Most ask if I really thought they were going to sell for that price? I tell them "well there is an edit feature for the ad" they don't like that! Hey!!!!! You want to play he game be prepared for someone else to also!

I like the cl game where they call and offer a very low price without looking at my item. I told one guy sure I'll take that much for it but you are sure your buying it for that much right? He said well it depends on what it looks like when he gets here. I said NO if we agree on this price on the phone right now that's what you will pay. He changed his mind and didn't want to look. CL is free but that's the way it works. I use it all the time but you just have to know how it works. - Bill_SatelliteExplorer II

I would change my mind as well! The person who made this decision made the right decision. Agree to a price without seeing the product being sold or lose the purchase? Yep, you can keep that POS and I will see what a real seller is interested in selling. You may use it all the time but it sounds like you are one of the sellers that gives Craig's List a very, very bad reputation. - rockhillmanorExplorerI've contacted some of them and have been texted from them when I am selling something, and if it comes back with some balony about being in the military, hardship, selling, send money etc etc. I write back that I've turned their text/email over to the local police and they should be knocking on their door as we speak. The ad usually comes down within seconds! And/or the texts to me stop instantly!:B
