It does'nt smell good, be carreful with this type of guy, you don't know what he has in mind. He might be trying this with a lot of people and waits for "fish ON". He wants the best of the two world, cheap deal with a wall to wall warranty, even a dealer would not give him this type of warranty.
Tell him you are willing to discuss the price after the inspection if the mechanics finds something. After the deal, have him sign a bill of sale stating : Vehicle inspected by buyer's mechanic, sold as is, no warranty, if he does'nt, too bad, no deal.
