Carrying a dog outside the RV interior?

You should have someone else drive your motorhome and then you get in whatever you will put your dog in, go down the road for several hours and see how it feels to you.

You shouldn't have a pet if you can't treat it properly. Give the dog a bath and brush it regularly and you shouldn't have a problem.

If this guy wasn't a senior member I'd be sure it was a 1st post troll.

It's also interesting that in 30 subsequent posts, they haven't returned because I think we all would like to hear a justification for such a ridiculous question on the surface.

This also means that if the dog isn't allowed to travel in the living quarters that obviously it will also be kept outside when parked.

Just what do you plan to do with the dog. When you get where you are going. Leave it outside?

I would leave the DW home before my dog.

I am speechless! Find the dog a home with someone who will love and protect it.

Leave the dog with a friend or find it a good home. Doesn't sound like you the dog and RVing are a great match up.

I'm sorry but my thoughts are:
If you love your pet, it rides inside with "YOU"
Take him or her to the vet and have it washed and dried so it smells good!
If you do not care enough about the dog, leave him with family or take to the pound!
My dog enjoyed the a.c. & the heat with us!

I'm guessing that this dog has never been in a house so inside a MH would out of the question too. Obviously not house broken?
Most campgrounds don't allow pets tied up outside and I guess they would frown on one kept in a pen or crate???
If I had a pet that wasn't housebroken, I wouldn't want it in the MH either so the only alternative is to find someone or a kennel to take care of the pet while traveling and leave it at home.

My dog loves riding up front.. He is part of the family!.. lol

Personally, I think the dog should stay home, if you are that concerned about it being in the RV.
If you really want to bring it along, I'd get a large crate for inside the RV, and keep the dog in that while you are driving.

Giving the dog a bath and brushing before you leave may help with any odors.
Taking the dog for regular walks should help with any housebreaking issues.

I would not keep the dog on the outside of the Motorhome....or you'll be dealing with folks discussing it with you at every stop you make!
