Have a 370 pound dual sport motorcycle I would like to carry on the rear of the RV on something that slides in the trailer hitch.
Any suggestions?

I should have mentioned, but I did in fact upgrade my hitch. The stock unit was rated at 3,500/350, so I upgraded to a hitch and the dealer welded it into the frame extensions. It's now got a 10,000/1,000 pound hitch on it, not that it can handle it. But it does give peace of mind for my motorcycle.

Most MH hitches are not rated that high. Saying that, I wouldn't have a problem carrying a bike that size on mine. Make sure it has a couple extra frame connections to keep it from rocking back and forth. Something like MrWizards looks perfect.

Most class A gassers are rated for 500 pound tongue weight.

But the hitches aren't.

We have used a Versahaul for bikes up to a KLR650. For loading single handed it needs a platform fabbed up that you can set the bike on the side stand once it is on the hauler, then tie down.

It has a fitting to tension it in the receiver so it does not flop around.

It has a Class 3 capacity receiver so you can tow with it. This is where I would mount the side stand platform.

Loading with a helper is no trouble.

I use mxhauler, but there are probably less expensive alternatives.

I bought a heavy duty steel motorcycle carrier that works off my RV's class 3 hitch on Ebay.(Under $100) I was concerned about the aluminum carriers not being strong enough for my 325# 400cc dual sport. It road 2400 miles from Dallas to Orlando with no problems. Saved me gas rather than pulling a trailer.
