There's no guarantee it won't get stolen but, if you make it more difficult the thief will probably move on to another victim. - KD4UPLExplorerI've heard of people building a metal cage around it, wrapping it in barbed wire, putting a steel plate underneath of it, etc. In the end it's more about giving thieves the idea that yours is too hard to take (not impossible) so they move to an easier target.

Has worked for me for years, even when I lived in Miami.
It also acts as an alarm when they touch it and scream. It doesn't really hurt anything, just a sudden shock when you are not expecting it.
