I am new to RV ing Do most folks use CB Radios will on the Road??

I have one and rarely use it . I belong to a Good Sam local Chapter and when we travel together to a outing or on our once a year extended trip we use it to keep in touch and together for those that want to.
If you go on organized caravan group trips of various sorts they sometimes recommend you have one. Other than that it has little value. well .... mine does have a weather radio built in and will give a weather warning even if off, thats a great value in itself, but there are stand alone radios that do the same
