Ceiling Fan ?????

Thinking of installing a ceiling fan in the bedroom. Looking for some help.
Is 12V or 110 fans better? I'm thinking 12v so will be able to run it without invertor or generator or shore power. Any pros and cons on 12v fans vs 110 fans?

Do they make one with a remote control?

How are they attached to the ceiling? I have an 04 Fleetwood Revolution and the ceiling is a vinyl or ultra leather. I have no idea how you get above this covering to the sold ceiling. Any idea?

For those with ceiling fans in the bedroom, are they worth it? Do they help? I'm primarily looking to help move the air around on those calm warm/hot nights when dry camping. If I'm plugged into shore power, I'll run the AC's if needed.

The installers did a great job, I believe they tapped into one of the lights for 12v. There is no remote but a switch on the wall.

ours is factory, with a 2 speed control at the head of the bed.
It's small, so it fits when the slides are in, maybe 48"?
It's very close to the ceiling of course.

And it works great. We use it a lot, it keeps the air moving.

others have done this, and it works for them
moving air around lessens the stagnat hot spots and you can feel the air

a Maxx air or similar moves air THRU the RV, but sometimes this can create a cool drafty feeling, when all you want is a spring breeze feeling

the ceiling fans move air, and create a Home ambiance feeling you don't get with a max air

similar to the comparison between a $20 electric space heater and the electric fireplace, they produce the same heat
not the same ambiance and feeling

x2 on the no ceiling fan.

I found the maxair turbo fan over a front vent works far better. At least you are recycling the air not just pushing it over your ceiling.

Maxxair Turbo fan is located OUTSIDE the MH. You can't even hear it. I installed it over my front roof vent. You turn that puppy on exhaust and open the roof vent in the rear of the coach and hang on to your hat! Since I installed it I use the AC 50% less of the time. AND the coach smells like fresh air instead of stale AC'd air. Best thing I have bought for the MH.

Iam, I have one, its a joke. I use a small fan that sits on a shelf at the end of the bed.

I really don't want a high volume of air movement...the bedroom is a very small space. And based on my comfort requirements it works great. I am assuming you are basing your comments on experience. 🙂

On that picture looks like the blades are about 5" from the ceiling.
I had my household fan with blades 8" from the ceiling and when set on high it would cavitate, not pushing the air.
It was efficient on low only.

That's important. We've been in a lot of RVs since we're currently looking for one. I've it my head on two ceiling fans that were pretty low. Both were over the bed, but they were in the middle of the room and the bed was in a slide so off set a little so the blades weren't entirely over the bed.

Ceiling fan

Our 12 volt fan is rarely off. It works great. Our first one started a ticking sound. The new one was obviously improved compared side by side and it has lasted 6 years. Mine is quiet and moves plenty of air.

Think outside of the box when mounting. Build a color matched base block that will spread the pressure out and the padded ceiling will not be an issue.

Make sure you have room if you have slides.

What's the ceiling height? Is it high enough to eliminate hitting the fan blades?

i have a 2006 bounder 38n,i bought a fantastic fan 12 volt very compact does a great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
