Centeroid fuel sender location 2002 Monaco Windsor?

The fuel gauge on our Monaco Windsor does not read full...when the tank is full. I'd like to adjust the fuel sending unit...but I don't know where it is. Any help finding it would be appreciated.
  • On my 03 Windsor, the tank unit is accessible behind the pass side fuel door.
The big door isn't made to raise like the other side but if you look under the edge there are 2 straps, detaching those straps will let you lift that door.
You'll have to prop it up, then you'll have room to work.
Take pictures and label the wires and the clocking, the screws are uneven.
You can go ahead and try adjusting but I'm sure you will have to replace it.
They are electronic and seem to finally die.
  • There are 2 adjusting pot screws on top the unit.
    1. Is for the 1/4 tank empty readout
    2. The other is for the Full to empty readout
When you adjust, you fill the fuel tank full. Once you determine which POT screw adjusts the Main fuel readout, you have to adjust clockwise or counterclockwise VERY slowly and in VERY small adjustments. It takes up to a minute for the needle to move. Very tedious process. HOW much is the needle off full when the tank is full? Doug

Here is a pic of it

  • Thanks for the tips...very helpful. I'll dive in to it before long.
  • As Doug mentioned, you have to turn the screw very slightly to make an adjustment. Be patient as the needle won't move right away. Adjust slightly then wait awhile before checking again. Otherwise, you'll think you have it right and next time you start the coach it'll be off again. The screw is difficult enough to find and reach. I used a mirror to ensure I had the right screw and could see what I was doing....Dennis

On edit: My adjustment screws are on the driver's side, on top of the tank...D
