Central Vacuum / Next Project / Motor Bearing / Suggestions
Well, I started working on my next Project (Past Projects)
The motor in the Central Vacuum system is making a lot of noise.
I pulled it out and found the rear bearing is shot in the motor.
I got the Model and Serial number
I goggled them and called their ?Customer Service? They do not want to sell to me, they will not verify if they even still make the unit, they did give me the number of the nearest dealer (over 100 miles away).
I was willing to buy a complete new unit. My last experience with the Harbor Breeze Fan was just the opposite.
Enough of the rant.
So I'm looking to replace the Central Vacuum System, have done a search on Google and find no similar units.
Any suggestions on units, it has to fit into the space in the compartment pictured, and I have to be able to empty it without taking the whole unit out (drop the dirt pan without removing the unit)
By the way, the reason I would replace rather than fix is this has been apart before, the seals around both the intake and exhaust are broken, and the seal on the rear pan is missing.
