How easy or difficult is it to install a larger sink in the bathroom?
Looking at dealership photos of motorhomes, it strikes me that most of the bathroom sinks appear to be so tiny as to be nearly useless. Not saying we want a kitchen-size sink, just something that's big enough diameter-wise (not so much depth-wise) to be comfortable using without feeling cramped for shaving, washing, etc. Something like what we have in our 5er would be good, oval about 16" wide x 12" x 5" deep.
When changing a sink you just have to be sure that there is room underneath for the plumbing. On my coach, the sink is built in to the Corian countertop so I would have to remove that and have a new countertop manufactured. Then I would have to decide if I wanted an under mount or surface mount sink and if there was enough room for the sink diameter and the sink depth. RV vanities are sometimes a few inches shallower than a residential vanity so it is important that all measurements be taken carefully. Once you determine that a sink will fit, than you have to see if it will match up with your incoming water lines and drain lines. You also need to insure that the faucet that you pick is not too tall to fit in the new sink.
None of these are difficult things to deal if you have the room in your vanity.
