On mine it is not a nut. It is a square hole that a 1/2" drive wrench handle fits into. - chucl66ExplorerThanks to all!

Thanks again - rgatijnet1Explorer IIIDon't know about the Ford but on my WH chassis, I used a ratchet strap to hold the breaker bar to keep tension off of the idler pulley. This allows me to use both hands to position the belt and then I can release the spring loaded idler pulley once everything is in place.
