Chev 454 engine air cleaner intake assembly

The thermostatically controlled flap plate from exhaust manifold tube in the air intake horn has broken loose.

Likely no problem except slower warmup in cold weather. However, can too much heat from the exhaust manifold be a problem?
I had noticed that the carb air cleaner cover gasket has gotten hot enough to stick and pealed off some of the rubber gasket. Can't find replacement gasket seal.

Could have flap plate welded again in place or just cover port completely??

Your opinions would be appreciated.

You should have throttle body injection on a '92 Chev P30 chassis.
The heat from the manifold will not have that much effect even during warm up.
I would make sure the valve is in the open position or just remove it.
Which gasket are you trying to find? The one on the throat of the throttle body or inside the air cleaner it self.

    The rubber cover seal.

    Thanks for your reply.:)
