Class A Fire - Totalled

http://www.stgeorgeutah.com/news/archive/2014/03/29/road-advisory-heading-north-take-littlefield-3/#.U5chzodOV9M

They do not state it in this article, but the vehicle was a Class A.

Ouch.
  • from the looks of the fire pattern, the fire either started in the engine compartment of the frig. could have been something else but the two I mentioned are two most common.
  • Probably take forensic science to figure out the cause.

From what I saw.. The rig was toast. can't say where the fire started.

Due to the materials used in constructions a fire where it's not totaled is .. Kind of rare. (I've see it, but it's rare)

Best thing to do when the rig catches fire is follow the lead of the folks in that rig and GET THE BLAZES OUT OF THERE before you are part of the blaze.
  • It is, however, a verification of my thought that if the rig catches fire, GET OUT and STAY AWAY!
FORGET the fire extinguisher, it probably will do no good!
Every motorhome I have seen along side the highway that has caught fire has been burned down to the frame. The fire department simply can't get there in time to save anything!
  • Most of the extinguishers in vehicles can only help someone escape from the fire. Unless it is an very small fire and the fuel or source are taken out of the triangle for fires.

The main intent of the extinguishers in this scenario is to allow escape.
