- IvylogExplorer IIII'll try again... Park a 40' next to the planter and you can still get two cars in the double garage.
By backing in I could get a 32' in where your C is parked.
Remove the planter and park a 36' where the C is parked or a 40' where the planter used to be. - CodyClassBExplorer II
- DuctapeExplorerOur model has plenty of CCC, big tanks etc. floor plan wise not what I would choose for a family of 5. I think a C or something with bunks is a better choice. What's the motivation to go for an A?
- IvylogExplorer IIIBased on the concrete at the end of the street and the low wall and planting on the right-hand side it looks like you own all the way across the road. Park whatever size rig you want on the right-hand side parallel with the direction of travel of the street. May test how well the wife can get into the garage without hitting anything.
- wildtoadExplorer IIYou now have three kids and their stuff to deal with as well as holding tank needs for 5 people unless you only stay where there is sewer. You might want to look at some units with bunk beds so most everyone has their own bed versus using the dinette / sofa.
I have not seen one, but Winnebago has a new Vista with larger tanks and bunk beds in the 32 ft range. It's on their website and is the 31BE. - DSDP_DonExplorerYour picture of your parking really helps. You could easily put at least a 32' (very common Class A size) in that space. Keep in mind that the new Class A's have a much tighter wheel cut. You could easily swing a coach into that spot. You could even cut the bushes back some and let the rear overhang the planter, just keep the sprinklers off of it.
- ncrowleyExplorer IIMy concern about the smaller coaches are the ride and the CCC. A short wheelbase will give you trouble in the wind.
- rgatijnet1Explorer IIIOne thing about RV's, as needs change so can you. Most of the people here that urge you to buy larger are full timers. Many on here, including myself, have had smaller, went to larger, and then have gone back to smaller. If I get the need or desire for a larger coach next year, which I doubt, I will buy one. Just pick the best coach for your needs today and enjoy it with your family. You changed houses and can certainly change RV's. Kids just want to be with their parents and they will adapt even if it means camping in a tent.
- CodyClassBExplorer IIWe started out with a class B when we had 2 kids. We upgraded it to class C (in this picture). We recently had another kid and moved to a bigger house in January of this year. We live in Southern California . RV parking space is very limited. Here is the picture of our parking structure . We wish we could upgrade to a 40 feet class A, but I don't think our yard can handle anything longer than 30 feet. The class C you see in this picture is 25 feet which we plan to replace with a class A.
As with all the newbies here, we just got started so we are asking many questions to make sure we make the right purchasing decision.
