Not only in size but market share

  • You will notice the German Truck maker MAN is used a lot for these rigs.
MAN and Scania are part of the VW Corporation. Scsnia and MAN are in the process of buying Navistar

Here is another one that came into the CG I was at!
    Wildwood, FL.
    :E

This bad boy MH was filled with people from Europe who love RV'ing in the USA!

The one side completely opens up to a FULL kitchen that the on board driver/chef cooks them their meals. The other side for sitting by a window and living quarters.

You know I don't think I would mind at all to RV in the lap of luxury like that! No worries about the upkeep/driving/planning trips in your MH. :C

They were the hit of the CG AND they were the nicest people to talk to. They were just ecstatic to be RV'ing in the USA.

That is mini hotel on wheels run by a German Company
There are about SIX manufacturers of Expedition Vehicles in Australia. SLR builds quite a few different models

    A Japanese Truck based unit

I was parked next to this one several years ago. Yes they are big and rugged looking!

These people 'shipped this RV' to the states! I asked why?
And they said they liked RV'ing in America! Go figure. :C

On a summer road trip in Alaska and the Yukon, it's pretty common to see one or more of these a day. All kinds of brands, with Man, Mercedes and Volvo chassis being quite popular. I got to spend an interesting night, drinking beer around a campfire, with a Frenchman who had his on it's sixth major worldwide journey. He had started in South American, drove to the southern tip of the continent, and was in Dawson City,in the Yukon, heading for Dead Horse AK. He was then heading back across the lower 48 to the port of Baltimore, to catch a ship back to Europe.

All of the Expedition Class C manufacturers here started like that. Usually covering, Africa, Asia, China US and South America
    Earth cruiser Australia Unimog
