Clicking noise?

I got up in the RV in middle of the night last night for some cookies and milk. And, I heard a slight ticking noise. It was coming from my curbside storage cabinet in my Winnebago. There's just two things down in that area my hot water tank and my electric water pump. We've been having problems in the past with are water pump not pumping fresh water thru are water system with enough water pressure. This past week the water pump has been working great! Were having construction done to our kitchen in our stick built so we have been doing some self contained RVing alongside of the house. I don't know if this matters or not but the DW shut off the water pump before we went to bed at the control panel inside the coach. So the pump should of been not working. What do you think?
  • Might be the Isolator solenoid cycling on and off...

I hear this sound from my Fleetwood as well. But always when the transfer switch allows power to the RV. There is a series of clicks two or three. I think it's power hitting the surge guard and then when it allows power through to the coach electrical system. The fridge is on this wall in mine, so it could be this powering up.

I do hear it occasionally while camping too. My main and auxillary switches are on this same wall. There is always a click when I turn these on. I haven't worried about it and haven't had any issues. There were some times I thought someone was unlocking my front door. I really think it's just the fridge as its right by the front passenger seat. They all make noises.
et2, I liked your post and it makes sense to me! I'm going to take your advice and not worry about it. If something does happen later on down the road then, I'll deal with it.

Good call Wally, I'll check it out!

Could have been the igniter on the hot water heater, are you running it on propane?
No, it's running on electricity! Good Question!

It was a bomb. Good thing it was defective, apparently.
Desert Rider, outstanding effort! I've been worried about that noise all day long then you come along and put a smile on my face.
