Coachmen Cross Country Elite vs. Cross Country

I've found a couple RV's that are basically the same year and are the same model. One is an Elite and the other isn’t. Can you tell me what the differences are? Some initial observations I can see is the Elite has the electric transmission pad and you can fill up the tanks from either side. NADA also shows the Elite is about $10k more. If they are both in similar condition, is it worth paying an additional $4k for the Elite?

Thanks,

Jordan
  • Is there much of a difference between the auto (keypad) shifter the elite has over the manual (unsure of what it's called) shifter? Do the cables tend to get stuck and make it hard to shift into gears? Do the auto shifters tend to fail easily?
  • All depends on if you want more luxury in the coach or not... More bells and whistles. Function is fine on the standard, elite will simply have more toys, features, and frills.
  • The Elite has more trim and possibly double pane windows...along with some niceities..Call Coachmen with VIN and I bet they can tell you mine....When I purchased my HR in 2008, the new Elites were there and they looked like a good buy at that time.
