Cold in West Yellowstone...
We drove over through the park coming out of Cody to West Yellowstone yesterday morning. Had a great ride with hardly anyone on the roads until we got west of Fishing Bridge {which is currently closed}. We had some fairly heavy snow for about 30 minutes when we were above 7,000' but it turned to rain below that.
This morning the temps are in the low 30's and forecast to be mid to low 20's tomorrow with some heavy rain/snow coming in around noon. Today will be a stay put day with our 35K BTU furnace cranking out the heat, set at 65 it kicks on for about ten minutes every hour or so. The tank heaters are on and we have full hook ups here at the Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park which is very nice and just a mile or so from the west entrance to the park.
Looks like the Indian will remain snug in the cargo trailer until Wednesday when hopefully it will be warm and dry enough to enjoy exploring the park. Tomorrow we will drive the coach over, probably will need to top up the propane by then anyway.
Yellowstone is everything I imagined and more and we are looking forward to Grand Teton this weekend.
