Considering 2000 Georgetown 346S vs 2003 Damon Challenger
I've found two units I'm considering.
First is a 2003 Damon Challenger. One owner although the male died 4 years ago and it's been setting since. Needs tires, house batteries and a good cleaning. It has a workhorse chassis and seems to run and drive very nice. We really like the layout although when we went to look the son-in-law who showed it to us couldn't figure out how to work the slides, generator or anything else for that matter.
Second is a 2000 Georgetown. One owner who is now 93, Always been maintained and kept under cover when not being used. Also needs tires but is very clean. Spotless under carriage. This one has the Ford V10. Drives nice but didn't seem to have the power or feel of the Damon. It's very nice but don't like the floor plan quite as well.
Both units priced in the low 20's and I'm confident I could get the Georgetown for 18-19 and the Damon for 20+-.
Any thoughts? I have a RV Tech who is willing to go through the Damon with me if we get that far. I think either would work to get us into a class A without breaking the bank or loosing too much equity if we don't like having a class A.
