Hey. Exactly same problem I had. It is one of two things. Either the 'clock spring' that transmits signals from steering wheel to dash, or...it is the brake pressure switch. It was the latter answer for me. Brake pressure switch is on the bottom of the master cylinder (I have a 2007 E450 hauling a Coach House 272XL). Unscrew the defective one, screw the new one in and then reconnect wires. Fixed.
