Curious if anyone's using a portable AC unit for cooling.

We we're planning on doing some boondockin on some land we bought which presently doesn't have power. Rather then running my onboard generator to power my roof air I was thinking about using a smaller Honda portable I have with one of those AC's that look like humidifiers. They range from 10,000btu to 13000. Curious if anyone's used one and how efficient they would be?

I use a 12,000 BTU single hose portable AC/heat pump in our coach when the temps are too hot or too cold. It runs off of 120 volts and draws less than 10 amps. I vent the single hose to the outside and the drain down through a hole in the floor.
My unit works fine and augments the existing rooftop AC/heat pump.
If this one ever breaks down, I will get another one.

I have a 10.000 btu portable unit that I use when we have an overflow of guests in the house. I only have 120 volts way out by the coach so my portable is the only option. It struggles during the heat of the day but makes it bearable. I have to make a template to put it up against the window for the exhaust.
