Dash radio / rear view camera
Have a new Thor 14' 31E. Is it normal that the dash radio stays on all the time on coach battery and when plugged in. The screen says "off" but the screen is illuminated and shows the time.

I found the way to shut off, first on touch screen push off then hold mode then hold mute. All goes off no need for a switch. - I assume it's the power feed as it has a fuse

They could use any color wire on the coach side of the wire harness, but the radio side of the harness is pre-built by pioneer, it should be RED coming off the radio that controls power.
Yellow is constant power line, that could also be switched and will shut the radio off, however that one keeps your station presets, clock, and all settings, if you switch that one it will loose settings every time you switch it off.- That sounds right. I found the red power wire with a fuse and when I pull it nothing happens. Do you think they could have wired it wrong at the factory?

when I shutoff the ignition the radio does stay on for a few minutes then goes off...or....when I open the driver's door then it goes off immediately ....no lights or any indication there is power to the radio of course just to the memory - As I mentioned in the pm to you, you can't shut it all the way off. The buttons will still glow blue. If you are worried about the fridge I suspect you are running it strictly on propane and not plugged in. If you are plugged in, then you don't need to worry about the draw off the battery. So yes, if you are dry camping and are using the fridge under propane power, then yes, it will still draw some off your battery. You just need to keep an eye on the level of your battery and recharge it as appropriate.

No true OFF mode in software on that unit.
Your best bet is to add a switch to the dash that is inline with the RED wire from the radio harness, that is the "switched" line.- Look in the radio manual. Some of the radios can have the screen dimmed. Mine did, but I cannot remember how to do it.
