- gboppExplorerIt definitely eliminates tow bars, electrical connections and braking systems.
But, tying it down inside the RV and stowing the ramps may take longer than hooking up the tow bar?
And you are limited to a very small car. - TvovExplorer IIOf course that camera angle makes the interior look big. I have a feeling it is actually pretty small inside.
- bobndotExplorer IIThe birth of a Smart Car. The blue stripe suggests, it was a boy. :) :R
I would think due the small camper size the garage part of it becomes part of your living space when the car is removed.
I can't see myself attempting to dry it off on a rainy day to transport it. How would you keep the undercarriage clean and dry ?
I guess they would have to clean the entire floor each time . - RobertRyanExplorer

The class C has a tow rating of 8000lbs anyway. Would say it would take as long being winched inside - HadEnoughExplorerWas thinking of doing this exact thing before I settled on my truck camper. I was going to use the space above the smart car as the bed area.
- RobertRyanExplorerCab Chassis version of the Van, can be had as a 15,400lb GVWR version GCVWR of 23,000lbs 8,600lb payload for the long wheelbase version, 9000lb for the short wheelbase version
As a Cab Chassis it can do this - BumpyroadExploreraren't there any US made class C toy haulers that would work for this, assuming a tiny car???

I think Toy Hauler would be a contradiction in terms. Probably a Super C would, with an apartment for a small car - DrewEExplorer II

The only US class C toy hauler I'm aware of is the Thor Outlaw, and the garage is too small by a fair bit for a (US-spec) Smart For2. There's no inherent reason I can see why something quite similar to this couldn't be built on a Ford E450 or equivalent chassis, but I don't think anybody is doing so except as custom one-offs at present here. (For comparison's sake, the E450 chassis has a 900 pound lower GVWR and a 1000 pound lower GCWR...which is something, but not enough to make it impossible by any stretch.)
RobertRyan -- "Toy Hauler" is the general US term for an RV with a garage compartment, typically used for motorcycles etc. - gboppExplorer

Winch it in? It would be more exciting to drive it in, what could possibly go wrong. :)
