Dirty Generator

i clean mine every time I change the oil...have never had a problem after washing..some stated the gener runs just as well dirty as it does clean..wonder what the rest of the RV looks like...:)

Degreaser on a rag. Wipe it. Never power wash as it can hurt the electronics.

What ever you do, don't use high pressure to clean it.

Mine works just as good dirty as it does clean.

Take it to the carwash if you can get in one and soak it with degreaser or tire cleaner then wash with rinse water. Let it dry for at least 2 days before you crank it up. That will give it time to drain any water you got in it, then run it for 2 hrs in case you got some water down in the oil. That will boil it all out. Then wehn your wife wants to eat out you can slide the generator out and eat off it as it will be clean. LIL

After washing, dry the heck out of it with a leaf blower.

washing is OK. Just let dry well I learned the hard way.
