Disinfecting Water System
Is it necessary to disinfect the water system each season if antifreeze has been added? (Not sure if anti-freeze has disinfecting properties).

- Thank you everyone for your responses regarding disinfecting my water system! I really appreciate it.
- I sanitized my last trailer when I bought it and did not again for the 8 years I owned it. Drank the water from the tank also however I used it every winter. My present trailer was sanitized once also. I use city water so that will keep it sanitized.
- I don't winterize with fluids (I use air) and I frequently load with chlorinated city water so I do nothing. My RV doesn't spend protracted periods of time in storage as we use it year round.
- Yes because AF has no disinfecting ability. In fact I actually had something growing in it one year and won't ever use it again.
