Domestic frig in 2002.....replacement available??

Brother had his refrigerator coils rust out and was looking for a replacement and cannot find one. Anyone know of a source to find suitable replacement? He found a vendor who sells the coils but $1000+ just for those.
Thanks for any information we can follow to a replacement or repair.

    Yep.....that's about all we do is boondock on beaches/islands, but 400watts of solar, 2-100amp BattleBorns, plus generator keeps everything A-OK!

    I asked as the beauty of the 12 volt compressor unit is better cooling. If you boondock a lot, then it is an additional draw on the batteries.

    Direct replacement which is propane/electric. He has BattleBorn lithium's like I do but don't need to run it off 12v. Generator available if propane acts up.

    Did he go with a replacement gas/electric cooling unit, or did he opt for a 12 volt compressor unit?

    Make sure you clean back of unit good. Chemical reactions can cause other components to fail.

    He used the link to order the factory coil pack. Severe rust occurred from beach use and then sitting way too long between uses; the rusted coils broke while driving, so, remove old and install replacement (yet to be done but this is the best solution).
