- cvbdslExplorerJust a quick question, can a user install the Crossfires or do you need to remove any wheel bolts etc?
Tks

Is there any problem using a TST TPMS with them? One would work for a set of duals.
Edit: Missed above post. So, one TPMS a side? - ctpresExplorerHave Crossfire with TST tpms. Very happy.
- KidooExplorerI just ordered a TPMS TST, I will try this first. I was reading that equal pressure is very important on Duals.

- lj2654ExplorerI have the crossfire system on my rear duals. never have had any issues with them....
- Kayteg1Explorer III used both Crossfire and Cateye (?) and lost a tire due to small leak on one and Crossfire have very fragile hoses that can not be bought separately, so if you break one, you have to buy whole new set.
They are very convenient but I highly recommend to use them combined with tire pressure monitoring system on RV.
On pickup it is less critical, but convenience always add to maintenance/repairs trouble.
EDIT. Just check and amazon has replacement parts available.
When my hose broke 5 years ago, I cound not find supplier of single hose for crossfire. - rgatijnet1Explorer III

Crossfires have check valves to prevent rapid deflation in one tire from deflating the other tire, however, a slow leak can deflate both tires over time. Best bet is to use a TPMS with a Crossfire installation to minimize that risk. Of course a TPMS is a good recommendation anyway, with or without the Crossfire setup.
WRONG! You buy Crossfires that are set for a certain tire pressure, like 100 PSI. Then if one tire gets low, it will be isolated as soon as it reaches 10 psi below the set tire pressure. There is no way that BOTH tires will deflate unless you have a blowout or nail in BOTH tires at the same time. From their instructions:
In slow leak situations, the valve isolates both tires after a pressure drop of approximately 10 P.S.I. - The_TexanExplorerYes, have a set that I used and was very happy with it. Extremely easy to check pressure and to add air if needed.
