E450 Four Winds - Fixed - Protective Warranty Review
Got our Four Winds back today just in time for our initial trip this weekend. P0171/P0174 codes and hot starting issue fixed.
I replaced/cleaned: Air Filter, Fuel Filter, MAF Sensor. (Needed but didn't fix)
Local Truck Dealer pulled codes checked fuel pressure and diagnosed as faulty fuel pump. 8 PSI when warm.
New fuel pump ($850 +/- later) and it runs and restarts like a champ. :B
We have only owned for about 3.5 weeks. We decided on the 90 day Protective Xtra Guard warranty. This is not something we normally do, but I am so glad we did!
I was very pleased with the level of service that we received. It took a little longer than I wanted to become active, but when I called the dealership to inquire, they had it fixed by the next day. The customer service agent I dealt with was very friendly and helpful. My repair dealer had never dealt with this company and told me that they were easy to work with and took care of everything via credit card.
I don't know how good of a value the long range warranties are as they are up there pricewise. But for the cost of the 90 day, I think it was worth it!
