A rythmic chirp is usually the serpentine belt tensioner. Sometimes a little lithium spray on the spring is all it needs. They can chirp a Lon time before going bad.
Pinging will be intermittent, and worst under high load, low RPM like starting to climb a hill before it downshifts. #1 cause of pinging in the v10 is a dirty MAF sensor, which gets dirty because tensor filter isn't seated properly or the gasket is crushed. Or you're running a K & N filter
