- mlts22ExplorerNice find there... I was about to post the link from the "B" forum as well because of issues mentioned about the photos they used.
I am glad I decided to just bide my time... the person I spoke with from Eko was pretty knowledgeable when I talked to them... but some things just didn't jive. They claimed a composting toilet while showing a cassette commode. Other things didn't add up, such as where to get the motorhome repaired (and their literature was spotty on who services their stuff, as Dodge dealers can deal with the chassis, but stuff like black tanks and water heaters require a RV shop.) I thought they were going through that usual initial startup company frenzy, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, assumed that in December that the dealers would have their vans, and I'd be able to see how their version 1.0 offering would do, and hope that their version 1.1 offering would be more mainstream.
If the van was claimed to be stolen, there should be a police report filed (and the number of the report recorded) with a full VIN. Then, both numbers handed to the buyer, their insurance company, and the insurance company of the upfitters.
I still feel like I escaped that one by the skin of my teeth. - stan909ExplorerI guess they were thieves all along. Hope the authorities get them.
- markopoloExplorerI just found this on the web.
http://www.pissedconsumer.com/reviews-by-company/rob-tracy/rob-tracy-and-jill-rawlings-20140107469246.html - bobojay5ExplorerWe have the 13.5 btu air in our ERA, and it's definitely NOT overkill. When it gets warm or hot, you need the extra capacity to cool with all those windows.
The generator handles it with no issues at all... - Horizon170ExplorerSome pros and cons plus observations.
PRO's
Turn radius, MPG, Generator, I can tow my 2300# BAJA, Driver friendly, low Center of gravity, no doghouse to get in the way, great OS mirrors.
CON's
Composting toilet, Narrow bed(need 60" for wife and me).
Observations
13,5K btu A/C is overkill and would maybe be a strain on the Generator (Need to check the LRA on A/C). 11-11.5K BTU would be about right.
Someone mentioned 10 ft. of 3"sewer hose not being enough. Solution= buy a 10-20 ft NEW hose with a connector and keep it in the box. If you must use it then figure out how much extra you need, cut it from the longer hose and leave the shortie at the camp ground. Buy a cheap one as you will seldom need over 10' IMO - RobertRyanExplorer

Not bad for the price if the interior is of decent quality.Quite useable floorplan. No pics of interior but if shower works well that is a plus.Cassette toilet for sure would be better
Very similar to a lot of Van Conversions here. - bobojay5Explorer

First thing I would do with this motorhome or the Winnebago Travato is to toss the 4 gallon electric, and add the Atwood on-demand heater which actually takes up less space. Only issue would be teeing the propane line, but if done right (T connection fitting, and valve), it shouldn't be too tough an upgrade for a lot more usable hot water when boondocking.
Exactly what I would do - mlts22ExplorerI think the four gallon electric heater is the only thing that can fit. The European models have access to Truma heaters which not just heat water, but function as a furnace, and you can even get a fuel cell that runs off the propane, which more than compensates for the use of the furnace fans.

The big kids needs more competition.
That said, with a "composting" toilet and only a 4 gal electric only waster heater, I'm not interested.
