You need to find your converter which is usually in the bedroom and it has next to it a fuse panel with the little Spade fuses in it. The power from the battery goes through these fuses before the switches and the lights. If you do not find any blown fuses then I would pop the switch out and jumper across the contacts with a screwdriver and see if the lights will work.
A dead battery is hard to jump using the boost switch as you may have to hold it down for five minutes or more to get enough charge. Do you have a voltmeter?
