Entegra warranty Are you kidding me/

Bought a 2020 Entegra emblem last week. during walk through noted a couple of small to medium places on floor where linoleum has "bubbled" from glue failure.

Next day went to service dept to arrange for warranty repair. First was told they were booked till mid August. With covid etc understandable.

Then was told the following: When you show up for appointment you just meet with a service adviser who verifies need for repair. The warranty claim is then forwarded to Entegra where it takes 1 to 2 months to get approval. WHAT???? Then you are given another appointment where your coach is put into cue and will be looked at in 2 or 3 days.

Was then asked for description of problem and when I advised loose linoleum was told that was another problem in that it entails 40 to 60 hours labor and that may take even longer to approve.

If this is true about Entegra warranty work, I have made a huge mistake.

Unfortunately that is pretty normal for RV warranty work via a dealer. At least they explained the process; most just tell you to come in then call you later to come pick it up and when you see that nothing was done, they tell you they just needed to look at the work. If you don't mind waiting, go with the dealer. But, you will eventually need to learn how to fix things on your RV yourself so as the other poster said, use a syringe and inject some glue in there. Good luck

Well, just by the name of that rig, it sounds like a pretty high end one that probably cost more the house I live in now! 🙂 (okay, I only live in a 1xx,xxx house, ha, ha!)

Anyway, that sucks and you should have a little better service than that, even if it's from the dealer you bought it from I would think..

You pay that kind of $$ and you should at least have the floors not popping up already..

Like was said.. If you signed for it already, then it's yours now.. It sounds like you found this on the PDI, so did you sign off anyway?

If it's in your driveway now, and you can do some DIY work, I'd just fix it myself and move on.. Yes, I know it's a warranty issue.. But the hassle of dealing with that is way more than I'd go thru myself..

I have done lots of "warranty" fixes myself just to keep me from the hassle of it all.. I did take my very first RV in for a real basic plumbing fix, but all they did was fix it like it came with and it just broke again... I fixed it with different parts and it worked great for the next 17 years before I traded it.

I even had to replace the board on my brand new Rockwood fridge... Long story, but in the end, I did it in an hour or so and paid $100 for the new board, but I didn't have to haul my rig to the dealer. Have them "trouble shoot" it. Wait for confirmation, wait for parts, wait for them to do it...

Yes, I know I should not have to do that, but in the end, I'm a happy "Camper" because I didn't have my new rig at the dealer for 2 weeks or longer for a simple thing I diagnosed with a simple Google search, ha, ha...

Good luck! Mitch

This smells like a General RV shop. They seem to like to do what you are saying! Sounds like they are trying to blow you off so they can keep the customer pay work moving thought eh shop!

Take it to a flooring installation place and see if they can do anything for you. Warranties are in the same category as the Easter Bunny and Santa Clause, personally I quit believing in all that.

The first thing to do is talk to your salesman for assistance with your new purchase. If that doesn't work talk to the general manager of the dealership. If that doesn't work call Entegra.
The run around your getting is not from Entegra it's from the dealer. Contact Entegra to put some heat on the dealer.

By the way, what's the name of the dealer?

Get a syringe with glue in it. Insert in a spot in the pattern where a small hole is not noticeable and try to spread it around with the tip of the needle. Put a flat weight on the area and give it a couple days to dry.
There is a clear surface sealant you can get to close the syringe hole. It kind of melts the top layer chemically then dries.

New unit, not your job to do I know.

However, 40 to 60 hours means they are ripping out the floor and replacing it. You do not want that, as it will never be the same as original. They will cut around everything. The current floor is underneath all furniture, cabinets etc. They put the floor down first before anything during the build process. It is one piece, end to end.

Somebody did that to my TT and the lino all shrunk, pulling away at the edges and is curling up. It's an ugly mess. You will never be happy with a floor replacement like that.

Did you take possession and make final payment yet?

It not, you have some leverage and if you threaten to walk away, expect it to be moved up on the list.

Once you take possession, they will get around to it when they get around to it...and no this is not related to Corona. It's normal operating procedure. They will take customers paying full shop rate over warranty work where the manufacturer limits chargeable hours and the rate that can be charged. Plus they hope if it's minor you just give up and go away.
