Entry door gas strut replacement
I have a Fleetwood Fiesta 2009 and need to replace the gas strut on the entry door. It is a 17" strut but I have no idea the force (lbs). I emailed Fleetwood but got no response. Any ideas?

We decided to replace the scissor arm on our front door with the above strut after seeing it on our friends door. It works great for us. Door stays open better when parked and is much quieter driving down the road than the old scissor arm was.
how and or why would it be quieter?
Just when I thought you knew everything.
Don't really know why - just know it is. Only thing I can think of is the two arms of the scissor rubbing together was the source of the rattle we used to hear.
