Hello,I have a 2004 HR Endeavor 40PRT. I'm looking to get a hardwood laminate installed. Looking at the main slide, I think it just drags along the floor. One service center said they would need to install rollers to keep the floor from getting scratched. The install along with the flooring would be over $6,000. Another service center said it's a bad idea to install rollers. Anyone out there do this to your coach? I know one guys said take it to Carpiterea.

Take the drawers out and look under the slide with a flashlight from the inside. I have a 2001 Diplomat which is Endeavor equal and it has 5 rollers. three on the floor and two on the bottom of the slide.

Our Winnebago has rollers on the floor against the outside wall that support the slide there and a piece of aluminum box tubing wrapped with carpet that slides along the vinyl floor just behind the front inner edge of the slide. No damage yet after 3 years but I'm keeping an eye on the condition of the carpet on them. The are easily removed by taking out screws that come down from the top of the slide floor.

They want 6K because they don't know what they're getting into. Avoid!Oh and properly installed rollers are a great idea - BTDT!

Ernie does a really good job. Did this for us.

Thanks for the help. I'll see if I can get a better view of the slide.
From the inside I can see what seems to be a long white piece of plastic runnig across the slide attached to the body and on an angle. It looks like the slide hits that and lifts to scoot across the carpet. There is some creasing at both edges on the carpet from the slide coming in.

Yes, that's exactly how it works.
I stepped on the slide floor while it was uin and broke that white piece :(
I ended up installing rollers. Worked better than ever!

You do not need to add rollers. When the flooring has been removed down to the subfloor, lay a couple pieces of new material where the slide comes in. Retract the slide and see if it moves those pieces. If it does, get some vinyl planks to lay on the new floor and bring the slide in. This will increase the clearance of the slide and won't scratch your floor. When slide is out, put them under the sofa.

That looks beautiful! Any idea what he used and how much extra weight it increased on the coach ? Thinking of doing something similar but a little leery about how much extra weight it might add to my old 2000 Tiffy
