It has not in the VA system. We won't reveal if you're crazy or not. A lot of states are making illegal to scan plates, Virginia is not one and neither is Ky. I was pulling my trailer last week and a Ky trooper on I 64 scanned my trailer and then pulled up far enough to type in my base plate. Now they have a record of me being in Ky on I 64, being in Costco in Lexington and eating in a cafe somewhere in western Ky so they could be pretty sure I crossed the whole damn state. I wonder how many cameras at intersections are working and record every vehicle passing. Md has camera under every bridge for as they say, traffic observation.
