I'm ready to purchase 6 new Michelin XRV Tires, thru the FMCA Michelin Tire Advantage Program. The Michelin Locator told me to go to Big O Tires in Port Orchard, Washington State. I went to Big O in Port Orchard, and explained to the service mgr. about the FMCA tire program, and there Service Manager at Big O, told me to go to Les Schwab Tire, in Port Orchard, WA. because Big O doesn't have the equipment to dismount or mount a 22.5 tire. My question is has any RV.Net Poster ever bought Michelin Tires thru the FMCA Advantage Program at Les Schwab Tire? I already emailed Michelin Tires Customer Service I'm still awaiting for a answer? If Les Schwab is not doable, then where in Western Washington State did you purchase your tires thru the FMCA Tire Advantage Program. Thanks, Rooster

I've been all around that City and West 16th doesn't ring a bell. If I don't hear from Michelin Customer Service in the next couple days I'll take a road trip over to Renton, WA. way.

Just call the Michelin program, don't wait on an email. I just ordered 8 Michelin ZXE 295/80R/22.5 on the FMCA program to be purchased at the Pete's Road Service center in Coachella, CA. I called Pete's first to see if they were in the program and they said yes.I'll have them installed at the end of May when I'm in that area. That particular Pete's location has given me alignments and tire rotations so I was a little familiar with their business. They told me that Michelin was running a new batch of the tires that I requested so they should be fresh (less than a month old?). I'll accept up to the 3 months old but not older.Good luck,MM.

Thanks Mark, Not buying tires, but buying thru the Michelin Program is new to me! I map quested the address that Tom gave to me, and emailed them asking if they accept the Michelin FMCA Program and a price quote! I got a response back that there out of the office for the day, but will email me tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me about the DOT date stamp. I'll mention that to them tomorrow. I'm not in a hurry for the tires, but I do want them on within the next 3 weeks.

I'm pretty sure the Tire Factory stores participate, I know my friend that owns a couple knows about the program.

Thank you all for your replies. I guess it is up to the dealer to either bill directly or through Michelin. From the copy of the invoice provided above it should be fairly easy to see if I am double charged for anything.

In my experience, and hearing from others, I think most billing is done the way I said. Billed direct from Michelin for tires and pay dealer for installation. It is an option to be billed all at once, if you wish.

The instructions I received from Michelin was that I would be billed by Michelin for tires and oay the dealer for install.

How ever it is done, the bottom line is great tires, excellent price and good service.

When I purchased mine thru FMCA, I paid the dealer nothing. It was one charge on my credit card from Michelin. FMCA sent me an invoice a couple days later.

Hopefully someone can explain more fully the billing process using the program.

I have been shopping for tires and found the prices through the FMCA program to be the best I could find. I found a dealer, Meekoff Tire in Mattawan, MI) that participates in the program. My card was registered with Michelin. I have contacted the dealer and told him to order the tires in. The tire dealer indicates that I will be paying him directly for the labor charges to install the tires, and that Michelin will be charging my card for the tires.

Tom N indicates that he paid his dealer nothing and all was included in the statement from Michelin. What should I expect?

They will order the tires and call you with an install date. You will be billed by Michelin and pay the dealer direct for the install.

I paid my dealer nothing. I received one bill that included all charges and that was direct from Michelin Fleet Service Buyer Plan. Then Michelin charged my credit card of record. This was at least a week after I had the tires installed.

If you paid your dealer for installation there is a possibility you also paid Michelin. Which means you paid twice.

to answer the OP's question, I bought tires through the FMCA program at the Les Schwab store in Sutherlin, OR. Not all can do truck tires, but if they do, they can certainly get the tires through the Advantage Program.

Thanks everyone for your input! As you know I emailed The Michelin Tire Corp. (Customer Service) last night and The Michelin Tire Corp. had a Customer Service Rep. call the FMCA Michelin Tire Advantage Program Dealer nearest to me (Phelps Tire) the first thing this morning. Phelps Tire called me after they talked to the Michelin Rep. this morning, and I was able to order 6 Michelin 235/80R 22.5 XRV's with a 2013 DOT Date Stamp. There being shipped to Phelps Tire Tacoma, WA. from Phelps Tire Warehouse in Reno, Nevada. Phelps tire does there own trucking so I don't get charged with a tire freight bill. So my new tires are going to be installed on my RV next week.

I got lucky. The dealer I went to used the Advantage price that was on-line. He didn't want to deal with FMCA or Michelin. He just wanted to sell and install the tires. On my first call, before I used the Advantage deal, his price was $75 higher per tire, so when he accepted the on-line price I was happy. It sure was easier that way.

Try Sam's Club, (or Costco)
Last June I got six Michelins at a Sam's Club for a better price than the FMCA program.
It took a week for delivery.
I ordered them with the understanding that if I did not like the dates I was not required to buy them.... (2 where 2 mo. old and 4 where 3 mo. old).
I took them to a truck tire dealer for mount and balance.
I also took my old tires to Sam's club because disposal was only $2.50 each, $7.50 less than the tire shop.
