Freightliner data link issues

Question

I have recently had my lightbar control panel on the dash of the RV acting up. After having the Freightliner repair shop Try to duplicate the problem they could not. They believe it is a data link issue and not the actual light control bar. Has anyone had any issues with the data link ?

I am having this problem now. On a Alaska tour and headed to Freightliner in Prince George BC. Hopely they can find the problem. Was told by Freightliner it would not hurt to drive.

I had an issue with the transmission not down shifting when the dash went crazy. That is a major issue when going up an incline on the higheay.

Since installing my  SilverLeaf program on my netbook computer, the ECM connection shows "data link error" quite often ever since I bought it 3 years ago. No one has ever been excited about it on my C-7 Cat, either Cat dealer or Freightliner Service Centers, including Gaffney.
