New one on me. Went to fill fresh water tank this morning usually takes 20 minutes or so to fill (100 gal) was on a quarter tank when I started. Checked after 15 min No water was going into tank! Never happened before, I had changed water filter the day before.so I put old filter back on,still wouldn’t fill. Checked that I had good water pressure out of the hose. Checked and recheck switch position on tank fill. No water will flow into tank . Any ideas? No gravity fill on coach (07 sports coach elite) tomorrow will try to use the water pump and a 5 gallon of water via the winterizing port.

Do you have a pressure limiting valve or attachment? That could be plugged with debris.You could also try to put water in with your drain valve open and see if you are pressurizing any part of the water system. If nothing is being pressurized then you must have a blockage somewhere at the beginning from debris that came loose and has blocked the input.

Your city water valve is not rotating internal.

When you changed water filter you may have put one way valve in backwards, I have done it and when I turned pump on water came out of city fill.

Update. Went back to RV and pulled my quick disconnect off the water fill fixture ,pulled screen and it had a small white piece of plastic laying loose and behind that was a loose spring about 1/12 inch long .I think this is a broken check valve or pressure release . Hopefully this is the problem . Any thoughts?

Yes that is the one way valve, or at least that is what it sounds like

My self I knock it out and replace it with a out side manual shut off valve and garden center has them for couple of bucks and works all the time no guessing.

I had the same problem but the valve was built in so it was very difficult to replace!

Thanks to all for the advice,problem fixed. New brass city water fill check valve installed.
All is well. Had originally bought a plastic one, but after reading one of the posts above switched it to a brass one.

You said one key phrase: "Checked and recheck switch position on tank fill."

Is this a switch (electrical) or a valve (Rotary 3 way 2 position valve)

IF it is a SWITCH.. blown fuse. bad switch batteries dead or off. solenoid valve bad

If it is a Rotary 3 way (2 position) valve .. failure of valve.. (They have assorted fail modes)

And in both cases. Failure of the inlet check valve to let water in (There is a check valve) also failure of supply (Test to insure water comes out of hose disconnected.

Look over the replacements carefully and try to find one made of brass. The plastic check valves are prone to separating as yours did. I found the brass ones right next to the plastic ones - same price and packaging.
