Fuel tank preventitive maintainance

Ok, so I am doing my due diligence and figure I'll pull the fuel tank down and replace the hoses and in tank fuel pump. Well now that it is down I am finding the parts aren't that easy to come by. My main concern is the main fuel line that comes off of the in tank pump. It looks like a short hydraulic line. Does anyone know where to find the parts for this thing? http://i.imgur.com/yhMik5zl.jpg

  • Ok, Hydraulic style fuel hose is made and ready to be picked up. $45 dollars. The fuel hose is fuel injection capable, good for ethanol.@ .25 cents an inch. no problem. Fuel pump, coming in. We'll see if it's the same thing. Boy I can see why it cost so much to have an issue like this repaired on the road.
  • Brian, I have a question for you. What chassis is your Georgie Boy sitting on. I have a 1989 Fleetwood Bounder that sits on a GM P-30 chassis. I had to do what you did with the fuel tank. I had "Truck Works" in Bannin, Ca. do my fuel tank work, ie.hose replacements, pump, regulator replacements. They found the parts. Their contact info is: 1-951-922-4776. They might be able to assist you.
  • go to any auto parts store and get some good Gates fuel line. You are talking about where the tube comes off the pump and it a flex line to the frame then metal toward the engine. Is this what you are looking for

they show they have a 2 different ones but not a good picture. Our Napa store thinks he can order it.

Autopartswarehouse shows many like 50. Working on a computer so need to search time to ensure that it is working. enjoy

  • Brian, your link doesn't work. Please check it and repost...thanks.

That said, there are places that make hoses to your order. Look in the yellow pages or google hydraulic hoses...Dennis
