I recently got the Garmin and have been happy with it in general. I like the large screen and the split screen view when approaching an intersection. I have been disappointed in the city maps. I thought the main idea was to be able to determine places where it was not safe to take an RV when leaving the highway. In almost all cases when I leave the highway to go on city streets it tells me it doesn't know about RV travel in the area. My home is on a fairly main street and only one turn between home and I-40 and it's not sure if I can get home pulling the trailer when I get off I-40. I never trust the GPS by itself but use maps too. I don't know if the Rand is any better.
