Actually if you're a Good Sam member there is an excellent trip planner for the Rand McNally units. Just login to your Good Sam account and select Plan A Trip > Trip Planner. It is very intuitive and much easier to use than Base Camp. For those that have a Rand unit they can then load the planned trip via the Dock program.
I was not aware they had added that, it is good to know.
Personally though I would never dream of using it, I am not a fan of the cloud. My trip plans are my business. I will plan them on my computer and transfer them to my device.
Call me paranoid, but I don't trust Good Sam or any other cloud service provider.
