Garmin RV 760 vs Rand McNally 7720
Looking to get an RV specific GPS. I have read reviews on Amazon.com and both units seem to have some issues. I searched the topic on rv.net , but couldn't find anything specific to address my conc...

I only have had Garmin devices but I can say they have been very good. I have an old device that didn't have enough memory for the map update but I added a SD card and that took care of the problem. The map update installed in the SD card.
I also like Basecamp. It is free from Garmin. I can plan routes. Once I have a route I like I check them in Google Earth. You have Basecamp and Google Earth running. In Basecamp you select view in Google Earth and the routes are imported into Google Earth. There you can review them.
