Guidance with installing TV in my 2009 Majestic 28A

Mine had several screws that went into the wall. I removed one and measured it. That was the limit that I would allow screws to go into the wall.

If you remove some of the trim you can see how the wall is constructed and use the appropriate length screws.

The wall in your RV may or may not be the same as the wall in mine.

We have two chairs opposite of the dinette so what I did was I made a stand for the TV that fits across the dinette up against the wall. Does not take that much room on the dinette has a place for the satellite receiver and is the perfect height and angle for watching from the two chairs.
This is how I did it:
Bought two 11.5-in x 48-in Raw Unfinished Red Oak Stair Treads from Lowes and cut to the width of the dinette. Used these since they have a bull nose edge.
Cut 4X4 posts 8" long
Screwed the two 4X4 between the two stair treads coming in from the front by 1 1/2" and then using the scrap from the stair treads cut two pieces that fit the end of the post glued them in place to give a finished look.
Stained it to match cabinets.
The TV is secured to the this with 2" Velcro straps that go over the TV base and around the top shelf.
The satellite receiver fits in the space between the two stair treads/shelves
I choose to mount the stand to the dinette with two clamps at each end that it is easy to move to get behind it if need be.
on the top shelf on either side of the TV I mounted two power strips with USB ports for more outlets.
Have had no issues in over 4 years with this setup.

First, there are a variety of mounts with arms that allow the TV to swivel around. Just be careful as some don't have sufficient mounting bolts (don't know why) and you'll have to get stronger bolts. The mounts have a locking mechanism to lock the TV flush to the wall.

Second, don't forget to plan for the power. When I upgraded our TV, I switched from 12v to 110 but was fortunate I had an outlet nearby.

Third, how are you going to wire for cable? Many campgrounds aren't wireless yet, so you have to route your RV's cable to the TV too.

Fourth, where are you going to put the Blu Ray/DVD player? Fortunately, they are very small these days, but they take up room. I'm still deciding on the final location of mine, so it sits on our bed while in use. They don't come ready-to-mount, so you've got to get creative.

We set up our TV to be viewed from the kitchen table. We turn the table into the bed and made a couple of tall wedge pillows to sit against so that the be becomes a couch. We do this on both our Bigfoot and our Northern-Lite Camper. works awesome.

What kind of screws did you use?

I used ordinary wood screws. I don't recall the exact details. I can look in the morning. There were several screws in the wall so I looked at them to determine the length to use.

The block of wood was screwed on to the wall then the arm was screwed on to the block.

Agreed. I'm thinking I may have to use the plywood trick by attaching a board to an area to strengthen it.

Hoping someone with a former Cruise America RV has mounted one and can share their knowledge with me.
