Half Moon RV Park in Half Moon CA

Has any stayed and give basic info about the park. Thinking of going to San Francisco and plan on camping here. Does the park have hook ups. All good and bad info appreciated. Thanks
  • Are they open..???? They've been closed for some time..they used to only have water and elec...no sewer..a little far to the beach....Dennis
  • Howdy!

We stayed there a few years ago nice park unfriendly park rangers. No hookups at any site, water bibs spread throuhout the park.

  • We stayed there 2 years ago. Close to town, no hook ups, water and dump station available. Paved roads and site spaced nicely.

There will be lots of camp fires and some sites have ocean view.
HalfMoon Bay State park. Further north I believe is a port run park with hook ups on the water. Nice too but seemed packed in to me.

    Pogoil.
  • Sorry, I replied to the Half Moon Bay State Beach campground location not the RV Parks.

No hookups there, but good access to the City. We stay at HMB state beach frequently.

Rumor says they will install electric service Jan - Mar 2014 so closed at that time.

Ooooops, the story has changed, now to be closed Oct thru Dec 2014.

    The dates keep moving forward.
  • According to their website they are currently closed for renovation and hope to reopen sometime this month.
  • While not an answer to your question, there is a very nice full hookup campground up the coast a bit closer to San Fran. The San Francisco RV Resort is in Pacifica and very convenient for touring the area. It's also an Encore park if that helps.

Being an Encore park means you can use Passport America and/or RPI for your stay. The bus picks you up at the entrance. From there you can grab the BART for access anywhere....good park. Get an ocean front site and watch the whales...watch out for the hang gliders though..Dennis
