headed to Iowa

after our new coach has been in Camping World shop for over 7 weeks total, only about 3 of the 37 items have they even attempted to fix of the three items addressed none fixed I made appointments well in advance the coach would just sit with nothing being done . I guess if I want anything fixed I will have to take off work and drive to the factory. it is a very sad state of affairs when you buy at three hundred and eighty thousand dollarMotorhome and the dealer will not stand behind or fix the warranty items
  • Are you venting, looking for direction or what you should do?? :h
  • VENTING. I have just gotten frustrated with trying to get camping world to fix our unit
  • I'd vent too. Golly, you didn't spend that kind of money for the coach to sit at cw. Tough lesson to learn about the rv business. Check with your manufacturer and see if there is another authorized dealer/service center in your area. Might be closer than Iowa :)
  • Tom, ask the moderator to move you post to the correct Ask Marcus forum. Or, better yet, send a PM to mlemonis, The CEO of CW.
  • Tom, I'm really sorry to hear about what is happening to you! Keep us posted of the final outcome.
  • I have always had exceptional service from the Winnebago factory. I would recommend an appointment soon to avoid the spring and summer rush. Sometimes investing a few days time to eliminate aggravation is time well spent IMHO.

we have an appointment in March hopefully we will get the issues fixed we love the coach I just get tired of the coach sitting at the dealer(campingworld) for weeks on end we call and are told everything is done then when we arrive we find nothing has been done
  • one of the biggest issues I've had is the front ac condensation leaks into the coach and drips out around the ceiling light I have had it into the shop no less than three times for that issue the first time they told me they could not duplicate it the second time I had videos of the dripping that time they said they replaced condensation pump but the next trip the same thing happened I climbed on the roof the pump did not look as though it was replaced I put a small mark on the side of the pump took it back in and they said they were placed it again funny the same mark is on the pump that I had made at this point I feel my only option is to go to the factory
  • I think it is horrible you need to drive all the way to Iowa for service. I live only a few hours from the Winnebago Factory in Forest City IA and have had our coach there twice - one for "custom" work and once for "little-fixes-before-100%-warranty-expires". Both times I was extremely satisfied with their work and their prices. I would expect they will take excellent care of you at Forest City. Still, it is a shame you are not getting reasonable service from your local dealer.....especially if you bought the coach from them. (Some dealers treat locals that purchase coaches elsewhere and try to get local service as second-class citizens).
