Help with water leak.

Hi folks. I have a water leak at the head sink. Hot water side. When i hook up the water hose. I have no idea how to get to it to fix it. Its so tight in there i cant reach it. Only thing i can think of is to try to remove the sink !! I have used water from the tank with no leak there. So am i right in thinking , just fill the tank through the fill cap on the outside and just not connect the hose for now ? till i fix this. maybe just put a valve inline to cut that side off, ill have no hot water at that sink but it wont leak, maybe. thanks everybody. ( first motorhome and i dont know anything about one,but im learning )

If you don't have one, you may need to buy, beg, or borrow a "basin wrench." They aren't the easiest tools to use, but they sure are an improvement over trying to get a regular wrench in the tight space between a sink and a wall.

Not for just RV, but for working any tight, seemingly unreachable connection. The tool was cheap, not particularly easy to use, but a lot less expensive than calling a $85 an hour plumber who had the wrench in his tool bag.

  • Faucet is installed on the sink top before top is installed on the vanity, then plumbing connections are made. Disconnect plumbing connections pull top repair or replace leaky faucet, reinstall top and reconnect plumbing.
  • lot of times you need to remove sink hook up the lines then reinstall ,not a huge job .
