Hooking ice maker up to bottled water.
Has annyone hooked up their ice maker up to bottled water, if so HOW? Last couple of hook ups the water had a lot of flavor, so the DW needed me to get her fresh ice, PITA. So I was just wondering ...

This is exactly what we did. We got tired of jumping through all the hoops with double and triple filtering water then working on keeping the ice maker line from freezing in sub-zero cold. We buy ice and drinking water as we go and have never regretted it! We figured for the price of all the filter cartridges we can buy or get drinking water from a trusted source and buy all the ice we can use..life simplified.
A friend of ours got tired of all the filtering and bought a portable icemaker then buys bottled water to fill it.
