Thanks for all you replies. I'll keep looking. Hopefully it will be easily accessible, which for me, being crippled, means right out in the open. Guess I'll have to get my son over some time.

If it's not on the water tank itself - call the seller/dealer as location of bi pass valves s/b easy question to answer.

I have a Jayco and my bypass valves are very near the water heater, which is accessed from the lower kitchen cabinet. I know different manufacturers have different locations, so I would suggest you start by locating your water heater from INSIDE the coach. If the valves are not located next to it, then trace the water lines to and from the water heater to see where they go. At some point the valves will be visible after tracing the lines. Good luck and keep us posted.

I have to remove a wall panel and stand on my head to reach my bypass. I think the term "easily accessible" is your problem. My first place to search would be on the back side of the water heater itself. Is there a removable panel (easy or not) there? If not there, I would follow the cold water line from the water heater back toward the pump/shore inlet.

I know that we have very different MoHos but my bypass valves are located in the space below the floor of the main wardrobe closet. About a dozen screws to remove.

Look inside the coach for what is behind the WH controls, there is where you will most likely find the bypass valves. Mine is right next to the FAU and inside that false bottom area.

It is most likely easy to open up and access but a major pain just the same.

There is a lot of info here and a lot of nice folks too, just remember to help, we generally need to know the make, year and model of your rig, What the m, y and m of what ever you are having problems with, ie, 1990 Model 27D Bounder with an Atwood WH model number XXXX. And very important at some point, learn how to search by reading the sticky re searches and the sticky on posting pictures. I use but do not recommend PhotoBucket, it works for me and I'v got a lot of stuff on it so I don't want to redo all my posts that have pictures. TinyPic seems to be used as well as Picasso. Whatever your happy with. The Spell Check doesn't work but IE Virgin 10 does, i need to update this computer to IE 10. Several of us are Grumpy and give curt answers, disregard those of us that do, but, read what everyone has to say.

If you have electric steps, sometime you're going to have problems. No one here has all the answers to fixing Kwikee Steps. There are a lot of opinions but few facts.

That is the problem. You have to look in the NOT easily accessible location to find the bypass valves. I use the compressed air for winterizing and don't have to use the bypass valves on my water heater.

This is a 2001 Dutchmen Express, 28 foot. Have tried my manual, but so far have not found any specifics on valve locations.

If you have your manuals, look up hot water tank bypass to locate the bypass valve.
